Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
- Create and execute plans to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients and partners.
- Negotiate and close deals that align with the company’s goals and values.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for significant business development opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals.
- Set performance targets for the team and provide regular feedback, coaching, and development.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving results.
- Collaborate with other departments (marketing, sales, product development) to align efforts and maximize impact.
- Ensure smooth handover of new clients to the account management and operations teams.
- Work closely with senior management to communicate progress and align priorities.
- Develop and manage budgets for the business development department.
- Track and report on KPIs and ROI for business development activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to business development initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
- Drive continuous improvement in business development processes and strategies.
- Introduce innovative approaches to business development by leveraging new technologies and methodologies.
Job Requirements
- Languages: Fluent in English, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of FX industry experience, with experience in a managerial role considered an advantage.
- Travel: Extensive travel within the West Africa region required.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of the industry and market the company operates in.
- Proficiency in CRM software, business development tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
