Head of Brokerage – Limassol or Nicosia

Job Description

On behalf of our client, a fast-growing CFD brokerage, we are seeking a seasoned Head of Brokerage to lead dealing desk operations and drive execution excellence across the trading function.

This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO/CFO, with full ownership of the dealing desk, execution strategy, and desk performance. The successful candidate will act as the operational lead of the trading floor, ensuring best-in-class execution, pricing efficiency, and team performance.

Role Purpose
To lead and optimise all dealing desk operations, ensuring high-quality execution, strong risk-aware trading processes, and effective management of liquidity and client flow across a multi-asset CFD environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dealing Desk Leadership

• Own and manage full dealing desk operations, including execution, order management, and pricing across FX, indices, commodities, equities, and crypto CFDs
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing dealing team with 24/5 coverage
• Define and enforce execution policies, including slippage parameters, requote thresholds, and order handling standards

Execution Strategy

• Design and optimise the firm’s execution model and client flow management approach
• Manage execution routing and collaborate with risk teams on flow allocation strategies
• Adjust execution approach during high-volatility and macroeconomic events

Technology & Infrastructure

• Oversee trading platforms and infrastructure (MT4/MT5, cTrader, bridges, aggregators, pricing engines)
• Work closely with IT teams on platform stability, latency optimisation, and system upgrades
• Manage relationships with liquidity providers and oversee LP onboarding and connectivity

P&L & Performance Management

• Own dealing desk performance and reporting, including revenue, spread capture, execution quality, and hedging costs
• Monitor and optimise key performance metrics across the desk
• Provide regular performance and risk reports to senior management

Compliance & Best Execution

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best execution obligations
• Maintain execution policies, procedures, and documentation
• Collaborate with Compliance on audits, reporting, and regulatory matters

Requirements

• 7–10+ years’ experience in FX/CFD brokerage dealing environments
• Minimum 3+ years in a senior leadership or Head of Desk role
• Strong understanding of CFD execution models, liquidity aggregation, and flow management
• Hands-on experience with MT4/MT5 bridge configuration and execution systems
• Strong knowledge of multi-asset CFD markets (FX, indices, commodities, equities)
• Proven experience managing and developing dealing teams
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of execution-driven revenue impact
• Experience working within regulated environments (CySEC, FCA, ASIC or equivalent)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

• Experience building a dealing desk from the ground up
• Knowledge of proprietary trading or custom execution systems
• Understanding of hedging strategies and risk frameworks
• Exposure to crypto CFD execution
