Job Description
On behalf of our client, a leading regulated FX Broker, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Risk Manager to lead the company’s risk function and ensure compliance with CySEC and EU regulatory frameworks. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing and mitigating risks, overseeing regulatory reporting, and guiding senior management on best practices in risk management.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s risk management function, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
- Actively participate in the Risk Management Committee.
- Stay up to date with local and EU legislation, rules, and best practices regarding risk management, and update the Board accordingly.
- Monitor the company’s risk exposures and provide detailed commentary on these risks.
- Deliver training to senior management and staff on regulatory requirements and the risk environment.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management.
- Supervise periodic regulatory-related reports and submissions, including Risk Management Report, Pillar I, Pillar II, and Pillar III.
- Maintain and update the company’s Risk Register, ensuring the most appropriate KRIs and best practices are in place.
- Undertake all core responsibilities of the Risk Management function.
- Fulfil all CySEC-related reporting obligations pertaining to risk management.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Law, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Risk Manager in a regulated company.
- CySEC Advanced Certificate holder (mandatory).
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of risk management tools, techniques, and practical implementation.
- Proven ability to complete projects and reports on time.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- EU citizenship or valid work permit.
