They are seeking a Banking & Payments Officer to manage and enhance their banking and payments processes, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s banking and payments processing strategy as directed by management.
  • Develop and expand payment products and services aligned with company strategy and growthobjectives.
  • Manage end-to-end payment-related projects, controlling all project aspects.
  • Oversee and coordinate the account opening process, providing required documentation and managing KYC and due diligence with financial institutions.
  • Identify and evaluate potential banking partners based on company needs and regulatory frameworks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, EMIs, and PSPs worldwide.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with financial service providers and banking partners.
  • Implement and oversee AML and CFT policies related to banking operations.
  • Collaborate closely with compliance, onboarding, and finance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and banking requirements.
  • Address banking-related queries from internal teams and customers, resolving issues promptly.
  • Handle transaction monitoring requests and review processes following bank requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all banking applications and KYC documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree in Economics, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldm(required).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar banking/payments role (required).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of KYC and due diligence processes for corporate clients.
