Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Create and execute plans to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients and partners.
  • Negotiate and close deals that align with the company’s goals and values.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for significant business development opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals.
  • Set performance targets for the team and provide regular feedback, coaching, and development.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on achieving results.
  • Collaborate with other departments (marketing, sales, product development) to align efforts and maximize impact.
  • Ensure smooth handover of new clients to the account management and operations teams.
  • Work closely with senior management to communicate progress and align priorities.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the business development department.
  • Track and report on KPIs and ROI for business development activities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to business development initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Drive continuous improvement in business development processes and strategies.
  • Introduce innovative approaches to business development by leveraging new technologies and methodologies.

Job Requirements

  • Languages: Fluent in English, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of FX industry experience, with experience in a managerial role considered an advantage.
  • Travel: Extensive travel within the West Africa region required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • In-depth understanding of the industry and market the company operates in.
    • Proficiency in CRM software, business development tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
