We are working with a growing client seeking a Reconciliation & Safeguarding Officer to take ownership of client funds reconciliation, safeguarding processes, and financial controls.

This is a critical role ensuring the integrity of client money, accurate reporting, and full compliance with regulatory requirements, while driving improvements across reconciliation and safeguarding frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of client funds and client equity
  • Monitor balances across bank accounts and PSPs, including transfers and settlements
  • Verify and reconcile trading activity, including trades, settlements, and payments
  • Prepare daily balance reports, revenue reports, and variance analysis
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner

Safeguarding & Compliance

  • Ensure proper segregation and safeguarding of client funds in line with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor client money balances, surplus, and shortfalls
  • Support regulatory reporting related to client funds and safeguarding
  • Maintain accurate records in line with internal policies and compliance frameworks

Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Recalculate equity and revenue cycles to identify inconsistencies
  • Conduct fee and cost analysis across PSPs and providers
  • Identify gaps in current processes and recommend improvements
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Treasury, Finance, Dealing, IT, and BI teams to investigate and resolve issues
  • Liaise with external partners, including banks and PSPs
  • Support audits by providing documentation and explanations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 2–3 years’ experience in reconciliation and/or safeguarding within Forex, CFD, or FinTech
  • Strong understanding of client money, client equity, and safeguarding principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills in English
